Chester Racecourse

Established in 1539, Chester is the oldest racecourse still in operation in the world. The racecourse has consistently been awarded the Gold Standard Award by the Racehorse Owners Association (ROA), since the award’s inception in 2008 and was awarded the prestigious title of Large Racecourse of the Year, when the award was launched in 2015 and again in 2018 and 2019.

Chester Races 2023 tickets and hospitality packages are available to purchase now. Come racing at Chester from just £10 per person and kids 17 and under go free!

The Grosvenor Museum

The Grosvenor Museum houses collections exploring the history of Chester, its art and silver heritage, and its natural history. Find out about life during the Roman military occupation and visit the Period House, with rooms from the 17th century to the 1920s.

Admission to the museum is free, however wewelcome a suggested donation of £3 per person.

The Ice Cream Farm

The Fell family has been creating award-winning Cheshire Farm Ice Cream for over 30 years. As the business started to grow, people would visit the farm in order to purchase the delicious ice cream and with growing numbers, The Ice Cream Farm tourist attraction was born. The site, which sits adjacent to the Cheshire Farm Ice Cream production unit that supplies over 1000 pubs, restaurants and retail units throughout the UK, has expanded dramatically with time and currently attracts well over half a million visitors a year.

Blue Planet Aquarium

Welcome to Blue Planet Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the North West, opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1998.

We’re a marine and freshwater aquarium where visitors can get up close to one the UKs largest collection of sharks, all homed in our huge 4million litre tropical display.

National Waterways Museum

The National Waterways Museum brings together a unique fleet of historic boats with rich collections and archives to tell the story of Britains canals and waterways. The historic docks at Ellesmere Port provide the perfect setting.

With its stunning location on the banks of the Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal, extensive in-door displays, boat trips and historic buildings, the Museum is a great day out where time slows down and history comes to life.
